Jane Coulombe has spent most of her life in Southern California.  Her love for this golden land is reflected in her paintings of its land and sea.    One can feel the peace of early California and the beauty of the open land that remains, which she feels is our responsibility to preserve for future generations to enjoy.

European travel has added dimension to her work, and a great appreciation for the spontaneity and freshness of painting on location.  The paintings that are produced in an extended trip provide many en plein air  works as well as a wealth of material for studio paintings.

Jane Coulombe is an Honorary Life Artist Member of the California Art Club, and served five years on its Board of Directors as membership chairman.   She is also a Signature Member of the Women Artists of the West, and a member of the Oil Painters of America.
